A few months before launch, Dobin's founders saw a need to develop a communication strategy in order to engage their identified target audiences better. Developing a narrative to position Dobin's customer value proposition effectively

As a new financial startup, Dobin needed to stand out from the saturated fintech market and earn the trust of consumers, merchant partners and financial institutions. Since Dobin primarily operates with consumer financial data, Verra Asia identified a clear need to position the brand as trustworthy and authentic. It was also important for the startup to gain traction at the launch stage to attract investor confidence.

Our Approach

Building a magnetic brand from the get-go

The journey began with an exhaustive dive into the market. Verra Asia embarked on a multi-pronged approach, combining primary customer interviews with extensive secondary research and an in-depth competitor analysis. This deep dive unearthed valuable insights, leading to the identification of three distinct buyer personas, each with unique needs and pain points.

Working hand-in-hand with Dobin's founders, Verra Asia sculpted each aspect of Dobin's brand identity—from its visual language to its core messaging—ensuring alignment with the values and expectations of their target audience.

Creating a strong digital presence

With a new brand identity in place, Verra Asia also conducted a refresh of Dobin's website to reflect the updated positioning, messaging and visual identity. To help build traction leading up to launch, Verra Asia worked with Dobin to create and implement a gamified waitlist strategy that incentivised users to invite their friends to sign up.

The Results

As a result of our engagement, Dobin was able to establish a strong foundation for their brand, complete with a clear, distinct identity which helped them to stand out in Singapore and connect better with their target audience. Dobin is now poised for a successful launch.
